This week I have decided that I have DEFINITELY felt the baby move, and turns out I have been feeling it for weeks without realizing it. So if you're wondering what the title of this entry is about, it is quoting an infamous lyric from the groundbreaking LMFAO song "Sexy and I know it." To be honest, I find that song obnoxious, but it seemed fitting. From what people have told me and what I have read, when you first feel your baby move it feels like little bubbles popping or fluttering. I didn't feel that at all. I kept feeling something similar to muscle twitches. I thought it was from my stomach muscles stretching, but nope, turns out it's the babe. You can feel these weird waves when you put your hand on my stomach. Basically, it's awesome.
The other exciting thing that has happened is that we think we have come up with a name. The grandparents know but THAT. IS. IT. We decided that we're not going to tell people the name (for a while anyway) because there's always going to be that one person who tell you they don't like it and it totally ruins it for you. However, if we just wait until he's here and the names on the birth certificate nobody can tell us not to name him that! Most importantly it passes my Dad's name test. He uses an NBA announcer voice and says "Baaaasket byyyy ....." and we see if it sounds good or not. There was one where my Dad's voice cracked, so then we knew it was a sucky name. This name flowed, sounds good with the middle name we want and we can use his initials as a nick name. We're starting to call him by his name just to make sure we really like it and don't get sick of it.
So that's that. Two pretty big things.
