Besides feeling like a character in M.I.B.'s fourth movie, there's been some family milestones this week. I'd like to give a special shout out to my cousin, and probably my number one blog reader, Caroline! She graduated High School this week. Now I know there's literally millions of people who graduate each year, but she has a special story. During her junior year she was diagnosed with Devic's, and doctor's weren't sure if she would ever be able to walk again. With Caroline's "F that" attitude, which I admire, she shocked the world when she started walking again and began her senior year. After facing a few setbacks and not being sure if she could walk across the stage to recieve her diploma, just a few days before graduation she was cleared to walk! OH. MY. GOD. It was like a movie moment. There was a dramatic pause and then she recieved a standing ovation which seemed to last for hours. The arena erupted and went nuts! Of course when I went to clap my earring fell out, and I was crying and had snot running from my nose while somebody asked if I dropped my earring... Like, you couldn't have waited til I sat down and blowed my nose or something?! I seriously can't even express how amazing that moment was. Not my earring moment, Caroline's walk across the stage moment. Then of course the Hinckley's know how to throw one hell of a celebration! Food was flowing all day (the baby enjoyed that... and by the "baby" I mean that I liked the food). There was music, dancing, an enormous fire and of course plenty of drinking games for the 21+ crowd. Let's just say I enjoyed playing beer pong sober so I could hit shots and have my parner drink double (insert an evil grin here). I once again enjoyed performing Busta Rhyme's "Look At Me Now" rap, which one year later still impresses people. I also did my fair share of dougie-ing. I love the fact that I'm almost 23 weeks pregnant and can still move/act a fool like my pre-pregnancy days.
So to sum it up: The baby's moving, I'm getting fatter, my cousin graduated, I miss shot gunning beers and my family is FANTASTIC.
