First and foremost, I must apologize for the one day delay to the bloggerverse. I know all of my faithful followers (aka just Caroline) have been nearing death without it.
How far along? 27 weeks and 1 day. The official start of my third trimester...
This Week the baby is a size of a: Rutabaga. In case you're wondering that 's 14 inches long and up to 2.5 pounds.
Total weight gain/loss: well apparently there is a discrepancy between my home scale and the doctor's scale. I've now gained 17 pounds but I'm all belly so I'm all good
Maternity clothes? I bit the bullet this past week. I bought some shorts and a few cute shirts. And let me tell you, maternity shorts are unbelievably comfortable.
Belly button in or out? still in. however I have to say "RIP" to my bellybutton ring :( The skin was getting so stretched out it was transparent and you could see the metal under my skin. Now I have this fear that the skin is going to rip because it's so thin.
Sleep: oh. my. god... I wake up all the time
Best moment this week: going through all of my free gifts from registering and seeing how tiny a little newborn diaper is! It's small than my hand!
Movement: yes, and I get the dumbest smile on my face every time I feel him.
Symptoms: lots-o-leg-cramps... also my hair grows fast! Good news for my head, bad news for my legs.
Symptoms I DON'T have: I haven't peed my pants........ yet
Food cravings: carbs. carbs. carbs. CARBS.
Gender: boy
What I miss: My 6-pack abs... pshhh yeah right, like I ever had those. I guess I miss my bellybutton ring. I also miss sleep. And being comfortable. No sitting/sleeping positions are comfortable.
What I am looking forward to: Everything.
Weekly Wisdom: find someone who is willing to massage your legs and feet. I'm not lucky enough.
Milestones: He's opening his eyes and developing his retinas. He is starting to show brain activity. I've also registered at Target and Baby's-R-Us. It's about damn time.
To Do List: wahhhhhhhhhhhhh. Daycare, Health Insurance, Nursery... Time's running out!
Other exciting news this week... My cousin got married! Here's my favorite pic of the night. Let's just say my basketball skills helped me catch the bouquet. I also had a huge height advantage seeing how I'm about 5 inches taller than all other females in my family. The night was filled with (most importantly) food, dancing and family. Let's just say this pregnant girl's still got swag on the dance floor.
